Bonanza/Baron Museum
Now, as we continue looking to the future by preserving the past, the Staggerwing Museum Foundation welcomes the addition of the Bonanza/Baron Museum Division.

Our long-range plans call for an eventual 90,000 square foot museum. During 2004, the “first phase” construction of a new 9,000 square foot hangar was completed at a cost of $511,491. This facility was built on a 2 1/2 acre site generously donated by John and Charlotte Parish, and located immediately adjacent to the Olive Ann Beech Chapel and the existing Staggerwing Museum.

The Bonanza/Baron Museum’s ultimate objective is to eventually preserve one of every airframe representing every model Bonanza, Debonair, Baron, Travel Air, Twin Bonanza and T-34, plus special achievement airplanes such as the Powder Puff Derby Bonanza, the Waikiki Bonanza, an “around the world” Bonanza, and unusual aircraft such as the Super V Bonanza. Also to obtain one of each model engine and propeller used on these airplanes as they left the Beechcraft factory. An additional goal is to provide a library of electronic media, books, manuals, and technical data for these Beech aircraft. Further, the Museum Foundation will strive to encourage, assist and conduct aircraft restorations, conduct training for mechanics, and promote safety in flying and maintaining the Bonanza, Debonair, Baron, Travel Air, Twin Bonanza, and T-34. The total amount of space needed to complete this museum is 90,000 square feet over an estimated 20 years.

This first phase of the Bonanza/Baron Museum was dedicated during Beech Party 2004 on October 16th.
