The Eddie Ross Restoration Center was dedicated to Edwin F. Ross, of Austin, Texas, who took delivery of the first Staggerwing. The Dedication took place during the 1984 Convention with Eddie, his wife Peg, and the Honorary Trustee Leddy Greever and his wife Norma, from Wichita, all present.
The original 3600 square foot facility consisted of a 2400 square foot hangar area, a shop and office area. Its intended use was for restoration, repair, and maintenance of Museum aircraft and parts, for Safety and Maintenance Seminars, and for a place where volunteers can work on Museum projects.
The Eddie Ross Hangar was renovated along with the Beech Center in 2008. This area now functions as the new home for the first Beechcraft.
